The Low Barns Volunteer Task Force
Derwent Reservoir: Meadow Management
24th September 2008

A couple of miles east of Blanchland (NW 983511) at a road junction near the south-west corner of the reservoir, there's an inconspicuous triangle of grassland. Amongst the sward there's an eager mix of orchids and flowers waiting to grab some light and show their colours. With a few years regular strimming and raking, this corner will become a great splash of colour.
