The Low Barns Volunteer Task Force
Low Barns: Meadow Management
8th October 2008

At this time of year there seems no end to the amount of raking and collecting of grass. But it's essential for effective meadow management that the clippings are removed so that the soil becomes deficient in nutrients and encourages species diversity. Our efforts will be rewarded by the meadow flowers in spring and summer.
