Baal Hill: Woodland Management (Wed 21 Jan 09)
21st January 2009

Small tree felling in Baal Hill Woods to thin out the area, allowing more light to the flora on the woodland floor. By selectively removing sycamore and some beech the area is managed as birch/oak woodland.The wood from the felled trees is used for charcoal production.
