The Low Barns Volunteer Task Force
Low Barns: Coppice Management (Sat 21 March 2009)
21st March 2009

A huge Sat Team with a load of new faces came out in force to coppice an area of woodland. Coppice management is a traditional woodland management technique that opens up the canopy for short periods, creating sunny open places that benefit plants and flying insects such as butterflies and dragonflies. The pics really do show before, during and after.
