Woodburn: Grassland Management (Fri 9th Oct 2009)

The first volunteer day for the Heart of Durham project and Sue led the team up to Woodburn to strim and rake an area of wet grassland which is to become a habitat for the small pearl bordered fritillery butterfly. A seperate task was carried out to hang a new gate, led by Dave Liddle, a ranger with Durham County Council.
